How to get to Liptovská Osada?
The village Liptovská Osada is located 15 km south of Ružomberok on the junction of the rivers Revúca, Lúžňanka and Korytnica. The village is situated on the edge of Nízke Tatry and Veľká Fatra, which makes it an ideal and easily accessible place for vacation in beautiful environment. At the end of the village, on the way to Liptovská Lúžna, you will also find the multipurpose resort Gothal with modern apartments, chalets, wellness and other attractions.

Even though it might seem that the village of Liptovská Osada with more than 1600 inhabitants has nothing to offer to tourists, the opposite is true. The village, with its history starting in the year 1340, moves forward every day and is becoming a regular stop for visitors of lower Liptov.
The most prominent historical landmark of the village is Baroque Roman Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist from the 18th century, which was built on the site of the previous wooden church from 1647. In honor of the village priest Štefan Vaverčák, who saved 72 people during World War II, there is a memorial sign on the church and a wooden cross on the north entrance to the village.
Fans of Slovak architecture will be pleased by typical houses built in Carpathian style. In addition, a protected natural reef from the Triassic period and a protected rocky formation Žiar are located in the village.
Settlement Korytnica is part of the village. It is located in National park Nízke Tatry and is known for its mineral springs of gypsum, ferruginous, and carbon water. You can get water with healing properties from one of four gazebos, which were recently extensively renovated.
Sports fans will be pleased by the proximity of ski centers, for example Park Snow Donovaly and Skipark Malinô Brdo, and also number of spas, from Liptovská Osada.
